Rösti and cheese spaetzle with fried onions
Preparation
- Rösti and cheese spaetzle: Put about 200 g of the frozen Rösti Potatoes, grated, on one side. Fry the remainder lightly in a pan. Place the Rösti potatoes and the cheese mixture in alternating layers in an ovenproof dish, seasoning each layer with pepper. Top off the casserole with the Rösti potatoes that you have set aside and bake in the oven at 180 °C for approx. 15 - 20 minutes.
- Fried onions: Toss the onion rings in paprika powder and flour and deep-fry in hot oil until crispy, drain and season with a little salt.
- Serving suggestion: Spread the fried onions over the Rösti and cheese spaetzle and garnish with fresh chives and ground pepper.

Cheese mixture
100 g mountain cheese
100 g Alpine cheese
100 g Räßkäse
cheese alternative: 300 g original Ländle spaetzle cheese mixture -
Fried onions
2 onions, cut into fine rings
1 tbs paprika powder
1 tbs flour or starch
Oil for deep-frying
Salt -
As garnishing
Chives, freshly chopped
Ground black pepper
