Rösti hot dog as a curried sausage with caramelised red onions
Preparation
- Tomato curry sauce: Place the strained tomatoes in a pan with the spices and simmer slowly. Then pass the sauce through a sieve.
- Caramelised red onions: Sauté the red onions briefly in the oil. Add the sugar, salt, pepper and sprig of thyme and allow to caramelise slightly.
- Rösti-Hot Dog: Prepare the 11er Rösti-Hot Dogs according to the instructions on the package and cut into pieces approx. 1.5 cm thick.
- Serving suggestion: Pour the tomato curry sauce in the centre of a plate. Arrange the pieces of Rösti-Hot Dog and the caramelised onions on top. Sprinkle with curry powder and serve.

Tomato curry sauce:
500 g strained tomatoes
80 g honey
50 g sugar
3 tbs Worcester sauce
2 tbs curry powder
1 tsp paprika powder, smoked
0.5 tsp chilli flakes
Salt -
Caramelised red onions:
10 ml oil
2 red onions, cut into fine rings
10 g sugar
1 sprig of thyme
Salt, pepper -
As garnishing: Curry powder
